Application Fees in Queensland Set to Rise from 1 January 2026

Application Fees in Queensland Set to Rise from 1 January 2026

Queensland visa applicants, take note!

From January 1, 2026, Migration Queensland will slightly increase its application processing fees. However, the adjustment is minor and comes after several years of routine indexation by the Queensland Government to ensure the continued provision of high-quality services. This will mainly apply to skilled and business visas.

So, if you are planning to apply for these visas, whether as an onshore or offshore applicant, it is important to be aware of the new fees before submitting your application.

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Migration Queensland will only begin assessing applications once you have uploaded all required documents and made the payment online.
  • Fees are non-refundable, so ensure your application is complete before payment.
  • GST applies to all payments made within Australia. (Whether the applicant or their agent pays it.)

So, if you’re aiming for a Queensland nomination and your payment will be made from 1 January 2026, ensure you review the updated fees and meet all requirements accurately.
