On 4th November 2025, the Australian Government confirmed that the 2025–26 state and territory nomination allocations have been capped at just 20,350 places, which indicates limited opportunities for 190 and 491 visa hopefuls once again.

• Workforce and demographic needs of each state and territory
• The number of on-hand visa applications already awaiting decisions
